Elektra Verve

Dual boiler espresso machine with smartphone control

What if a professional espresso machine could feel at home anywhere — in a boutique café, a hotel suite, an office, or even on a boat? That's the starting point of the Elektra Verve: the Italian dual-boiler know-how Elektra has cultivated since 1947, combined with digital smartphone control and a flexibility in water supply that lets it operate almost anywhere. Elektra is today part of the VEA Group, the same Italian group behind Carimali and Heylo.

Dual boiler: the core of the Verve

The Verve is built around two separate, independent boilers: one dedicated to coffee (140cc) and one dedicated to steam (1.6 litres, stainless steel). Each boiler is regulated independently — unlike single-boiler or thermoblock systems, where brewing and steaming often constrain each other or require a wait between the two modes. On the Verve, espresso and milk foam can be prepared at the same time, with stable temperature in each boiler.

02

Water supply: tank or direct connection

The Verve can be plumbed directly into the water line for continuous operation without refilling, or run independently via the removable 5-litre tank. In a fixed installation (café, restaurant, office with a water line) it connects to the mains; in a location without a water connection where you want it — a hotel suite, a boat, a temporary setup — the same machine runs fully self-contained on the tank.

Elektra Verve smartphone app control
03

Smartphone control: temperature & pre-infusion

The Verve connects directly via WiFi to a smartphone app, through which brewing temperature and pre-infusion duration are set — with no physical display or buttons on the machine itself. This lets you build a personal recipe per coffee. Transparency note: the official documentation describes temperature and pre-infusion control, not a programmable pressure profile as a standard feature.

Elektra Verve stainless steel body with wooden side panels
04

Professional components, steel & wood

A rotary pump — quieter and better suited to sustained use than a simple vibration pump — a professional brew group, and a dual-scale pressure gauge for monitoring boiler and pump pressure. The body is stainless steel with wooden side panels, a deliberate design contrast to Elektra's more classic, vintage-styled machines.

Comparison

Elektra Verve vs. a single-boiler / thermoblock machine

Single boiler / thermoblock

  • Simultaneous brewing & steaming: usually limited or requires a wait
  • Temperature stability: one boiler for both purposes — a compromise
  • Steam output: usually a smaller steam boiler
  • Recipe control: usually a fixed factory setting
  • Water supply: usually tank only or direct line only
  • Typical setting: entry-level appliances

Elektra Verve

  • Simultaneous brewing & steaming: possible, via two independent boilers
  • Temperature stability: each boiler regulated individually
  • Steam output: 1.6 l dedicated stainless steel boiler
  • Recipe control: temperature & pre-infusion via app
  • Water supply: switchable — tank or direct line
  • Typical setting: home barista, boutique café, small restaurant

This comparison is kept at the architecture level, without naming specific competing models.

Service

Service & support from Solino

As the exclusive Elektra distributor in Greece, Solino handles installation of the Verve (water/power connection, initial WiFi app setup), training on temperature and pre-infusion settings, a descaling and maintenance plan matched to your local water hardness, genuine spare parts, and technical support across Greece. Solino advises honestly on the right machine for your setting: the Verve is the right choice for boutique and low-to-medium volume environments; for high-volume needs, Solino recommends alternatives from its own range.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does "dual boiler" mean?

The Verve has two separate boilers — one for coffee (140cc) and one for steam (1.6 litres) — regulated independently of each other.

Can it brew espresso and steam milk at the same time?

Yes, thanks to the two independent boilers, neither process affects the other.

Does it need a fixed water connection?

Not necessarily. The Verve runs either on a direct line or via the integrated, removable 5-litre tank.

What can be set via the smartphone app?

Brewing temperature and pre-infusion duration, over a direct WiFi connection.

Does it support a programmable pressure profile?

Not as a standard feature. The official documentation describes app control of temperature and pre-infusion — not pressure profiling as standard.

Does it need special electrical work?

No. At 1,600 W / 230 V, operating current is about 7 A — a standard socket is more than sufficient.

How often does it need descaling?

As a classic dual-boiler machine, the Verve requires regular descaling of both boilers, depending on local water hardness and use. Solino sets the maintenance schedule at installation.

Is it suited to high-volume use?

Not as its main purpose. The manufacturer positions it for home baristas, small restaurants and boutique cafés — for high volume, Solino recommends other solutions.

Who makes the Elektra Verve?

Elektra, an Italian brand since 1947 (Treviso), today part of the VEA Group.

What materials is it made of?

Stainless steel with wooden side panels.

Can it be used on a boat or on the move?

Yes, thanks to self-contained tank operation with no need for a fixed water connection.

What does Solino's support include?

Installation, initial app setup, training, a maintenance/descaling plan, genuine spare parts, and technical support across Greece.
