This works entirely without additional energy or intervention, simply through the natural movement of the water in the tank, by which it constantly flows gently through the depot. As before, the upper part of the CLARIS filter cartridge, for coffee preparation by means of ion exchange and activated carbon using the up-flow principle, filters exactly the amount of water required for a perfect cup of coffee. Thanks to RFID technology, the automatic machine also detects whether a filter is inserted and automatically activates the appropriate mode. It continuously collects information on filter usage and reports when the capacity is exhausted. When the filter performance nears its end, the automatic machine indicates the upcoming filter change. If this does not take place, the device activates descaling mode.
