Eduscho Professional Espresso is a dark-roasted Arabica-Robusta blend from the B2B range of Tchibo Coffee Service — the brand that has been roasting coffee in Bremen since 1924, and part of Tchibo since 1997. Whole bean, for portafilter machines and automatic espresso machines. Available at Solino as roasted coffee for foodservice and office use.
Eduscho was founded in 1924 by Eduard Schopf in Bremen — the company name derives from his surname. Through the 1970s and 80s, Eduscho was one of the big names in the German coffee market, with roughly 17,000 “Depot” retail points. Effective 1 January 1997, the Schopf family sold the company to Hamburg-based competitor Tchibo. Since then, Eduscho has been a brand of Tchibo GmbH — the same roasting expertise, under a new roof. We state this plainly, as it is: not an invented origin story, but 100 years of accumulated roasting expertise from one of Europe's largest coffee roasters.
Dark roast with full flavour intensity and a bold character (manufacturer statement). Velvety crema, described by the manufacturer as optimised for professional espresso preparation. Recommended dose: 7.5g per 50ml for espresso (manufacturer statement).
Transparency note: the closely related consumer-line variant “Espresso Intenso” is independently described with notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts and caramel, and low acidity. We do not have an independent tasting analysis of the Professional variant itself — we report the manufacturer's description as such, clearly labelled.
Eduscho Professional Espresso is a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans. The exact blend ratio and the geographic origin of the beans are not published by the manufacturer. We do not invent origin claims (e.g. “beans from Brazil”) that the manufacturer itself does not make — not unusual for blends built around consistency rather than single-origin storytelling.
